Netherlands-based company Dutch Docklands has designed the Krystall Hotel, a snowflake-shaped floating 5-star hotel in Norway that allows you to get the best and purest view of the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights.

Dutch Docklands has branded the first floating hotel in Europe as a ‘scarless development’, one that will leave little to no impact on its surroundings. 

It is also as far away from light pollution as possible, meaning, one can get the best view of the Aurora Borealis here through the glass roofs of their hotel rooms. 

The Krystall Hotel is slated for opening in 2017. It will contain 86 rooms, and will be situation in the fjords near Tromso in Norway, a spot which sits within the Arctic Circle – perfect for watching the Northern Lights.
